Merlot

Our Merlot is made from grapes grown in our Villa Alegre vineyards in the Maule Valley, 285 km south of Santiago. This region features a Mediterranean-like climate with dry summers, rainy winters, and strong temperature contrasts between day and night—perfect for developing ripe tannins and concentrated aromas. The sandy, volcanic ash soils and flat, sun-drenched terrain further enhance grape quality. Harvested in mid-April, the grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts at 26°–28°C for seven days. The wine is then stabilized and filtered to preserve its vibrant fruit profile. This Merlot displays a bright ruby-violet color and bursts with ripe red fruit aromas, plum, and subtle pepper notes. On the palate, it offers sweet, velvety tannins and a long, smooth finish. Perfect with roast beef, pork, pasta, or fresh cheeses.
